Now, 2017 version of After Effects CC had been released. This update, version 14.2.1, includes significant performance enhancements as well as bug fixes, and is recommended for all users.

Motion Graphics templates now render up to 4x faster, and Adobe Illustrator and PDF file import are much faster as well, especially for complex vector graphics. 14.2.1 also fixes several key issues, including “2 or more frames to play back” memory errors, Camera-Shake Deblur effect rendering above 8bpc, and copy-paste of Premiere Pro graphics objects into After Effects.

However, when you try to import DVD to After Effects (CS4/CS5/CS6/CC) for editing, you may meet some problems:

Q1: HELP PLEASE Can't import from DVD to Adobe After Effects CC
"I am trying to import from a home made dvd and I only get the first 12 minutes (of nearly 2 hours). I think it maybe because it has a menu and chapters. Anyway round this? THANKS! Using v14.2.1"

Q2: Converting DVD footages for AE?
" I cant open DVD video clips in any of my editing software and the only thing that will play it is VLC. How can I convert this so I can play around with footage in AE? Is there a codec plugin that I can download?"

Actually, After Effects currently supports a few video formats, like AVCHD, MOV, AVI, MPG. Then how can we transfer DVD footage to After Effects without problems?
