Getting DVD Collection into Synology NAS for Streaming

Ripping and Copying DVDs to Synology NAS for streaming

1. Load DVD Info

Insert your DVD disc to the drive, then launch the DVD ripping software and click the "Load Disc" button to have the DVD content imported. You can also add VIDEO_TS folder, DVD ISO files are the source files for converting.

2. Select Synology NAS friendly format

Click Format bar and choose your desired format. To store hundreds of DVD's on NAS, you can rip DVD to .mp4, or .avi, .mkv, etc compressed format. And click Settings bar, you can adjust the level of compression to suit the quality you want.

Tip: If you want to transfer DVD to Synology NAS retaining DVD quality and you have a lot of spare space, you can choose directly copy DVD disc and then burn them to an iso. That makes one file for the DVD. Make sure your media streamer can read .iso files first.

3. Start DVD to NAS conversion
